Tyrell Cloud Expands Capabilities with ConnectStream and Intelligent Sensing
Tyrell Cloud continues to expand its capabilities with two powerful updates: ConnectStream, enabling seamless, low-latency SRT streaming directly from the cloud, and Workstation Intelligent Sensing Technology, providing real-time visibility into workstation usage to prevent interruptions during active editing sessions.
ConnectStream: SRT Streaming from Tyrell Cloud
It’s now possible to stream SRT directly out of Tyrell Cloud. With Tyrell Cloud ConnectStream, users can quickly deploy a dedicated SRT-capable stream channel with up to two endpoints (expandable as needed). This enables any Tyrell Cloud Workstation to deliver an SRT output stream to two independent SRT decoding applications or hardware decoders.
For example, editors can stream their Adobe Premiere Pro timeline output directly to an on-premise physical video monitor. By leveraging the SRT protocol, ConnectStream overcomes unpredictable internet delays, packet jitter, and latency with adjustable, user-defined latency buffers. Like other Tyrell Cloud services, ConnectStream SRT channels can be fully scheduled for flexible operation.
Workstation Intelligent Sensing Technology
Tyrell Cloud Control now provides real-time visibility into workstation status. When a workstation is in use, it is marked as being in an Active Session, allowing administrators to see a clear overview of deployed resources.
The key benefit of this Intelligent Sensing Technology is that Tyrell Cloud’s scheduling system will not shut down a workstation that is actively in use, ensuring uninterrupted workflows and preventing accidental shutdowns during active editing sessions.
